A man is caught in a desperate race against time in this claustrophobic thriller from director Rodrigo Cortes. Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is an American truck driver who has been contracted to work in Iraq, and while delivering a load of kitchen equipment as part of a humanitarian aid program, he's captured by insurgent guerrillas who intend to hold him hostage. Paul is struck unconscious, put into a coffin-like box, and buried, and when he comes to, all he has to help him get out is a lighter, a cell phone, a pen, and a jacknife. Trapped underground with a limited supply of air, Paul frantically calls his family, his employer, and American military and political representatives, trying to remain calm as his chances of survival slip farther away with each passing minute.

'Buried' is a great example of minimalistic filmmaking at it's best.' 'Half the terror being buried alive, half the terror being put on hold.'
''I was hesitant about this film, i mean how interesting can 1 man in a box be for 90 minutes?? VERY!! Not at all what i expected. twists and turns and very well filmed! Ryan at his best as always! watched it 3 times in 2 days i was gripped! and the last 20mins i was just on the edge of my seat! brilliant!''
John Ajvide Lindqvist's celebrated vampire novel makes the leap to the big screen once again with the second feature adaptation in so many years (Tomas Alfredson's critically acclaimed 2008 hit LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, being the first). The sensitive target of vicious bullying at school, 12-year-old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is a social misfit from a broken home. By day Owen dreams about laying waste to his classroom tormentors; by night his attentions turn to his reclusive neighbours in their austere apartment complex. One evening, as Owen takes out his pent-up aggressions on a tree, his new neighbour Abby (Chloe Grace Moretz – KICK-ASS) appears over his shoulder. A young girl wise beyond her years, Abby just moved in next door to Owen with her stoic caretaker (Richard Jenkins), who seems to harbour a sinister secret. Compelled by Abby's apparent imperviousness to the harsh winter elements, her frail disposition, and the fact that she's nowhere to be found before the sun falls, Owen senses a kindred soul, and strikes up a friendship with the girl, despite her repeated attempts to maintain an emotional distance. Simultaneously, their community grows vigilant following a series of vicious murders, and Abby's caretaker vanishes without a trace. Later, as Abby begins to grow vulnerable, her bond with Owen strengthens. By the time Owen begins to suspect that his evasive new friend is something other than human, it starts to seem as if Abby could use a good friend after all. Given that his bullies are growing more emboldened by the day, so too could Owen.

''Masterful horror film. Complex, sad, scary and unsentimental''
''a beautiful well acted film''
''rather watch this anyday than twilight!''
''Best Horror Film I've seen in a long time.''
Brilliantly put together, Brilliant acting, dark and meaning full, personally i think its the best horror that has been made in years, loved it!
THE CHILDREN deftly combines the unsettling realism of low-budget 1970's British horror, with the visceral savagery and shocks of the glossy updated genre. Working with the tried and tested theme of 'mummy's darling turned evil hellspawn' that made VILLIAGE OF THE DAMED and THE OMEN such chilling classics, writer/director Tom Shankland's film exploits the modern SUPERNANNY generation, indulgently obsessed with child behaviour. The story takes place at Christmas time, with two middle-class families gathered together to share in the festivities. But the peace doesn't last, as slowly their children succumb to a strange illness and start to bring death and destruction to the people who gave them life.

THIS IS A FAR BETTER FILM THAN SOME PEOPLE GIVE IT CREDIT FOR. I WASN'T EXPECTING MUCH MORE THAN A WATCHABLE FILM WITH CREEPY KIDS,BUT IT'S REALLY VERY GOOD. WHAT STARTS AS 2 FAMILIES HAVING CHRISTMAS TOGETHER,ENJOYING THE SNOW AND EACH OTHER'S COMPANY,SOON BECOMES SOMETHING QUITE EERIE. YOU JUST KNOW SOMETHING IN THE KIDS IS ABOUT TO SHOW IT'S UGLY FACE,IT BUILDS TENSION LIKE A TICKING TIMEBOMB,YOU KNOW IT'S ABOUT TO BLOW AND WHEN IT BLOWS,OH BOY,DOES IT BLOW!
THE KIDS ARE PLAYED VERY WELL BY THE YOUNG ACTORS,BEHAVING VERY DISTURBINGLY. THE DEATHS ARE CERTAINLY WELL DONE AND HAD ME WINCING,SOME OF THE SCENES I WOULD SAY ARE VERY BRAVE,THE RETALIATION AGAINST THE KIDS WHO HAVE TURNED INTO VICIOUS LITTLE SODS THANKS TO A VIRUS OF SORTS IS,IN MY VIEW QUITE SHOCKING.
CERTAINLY IT IS NOT THE BEST HORROR FILM I'VE SEEN,BUT I'M VERY GLAD I BOUGHT IT AND PLAN ON WATCHING IT AGAIN VERY SOON.
SERIOUSLY,DON'T BE PUT OFF BY NAGATIVE REVIEWS,AS LONG AS YOU DON'T EXPECT AMAZING,I THINK YOU'LL BE SURPRISED HOW GOOD IT IS.
THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE CREEPIEST CHILDREN GONE BAD FILMS I'VE EVER SEEN.

If you see the children Will put you off kids for life ,little monsters, A rather unsettling horror , The children goes where no other film goes - having to kill your own children. i think this is what makes it interesting as no one in there right mind would want to do that. The parents never belive there is anything wrong with their kids which leads to some grisly deaths! the setting is really good - isolated in the country with nowhere to get way from them and they make good use of the surroundings.
A group of girls seek adventure on a caving expedition. Deep inside underground caves they find themselves cut off from the world and off the map. Battling to get back to the surface they realise that they are being hunted by an unknown cannibalistic force. Now they must pull together and fight for their very survival.
i think the descent Very creepy ,Some people seem to have missed the point of this film, complaining about the horror. It is a horror film but is done so well that when the gore finally arrives you're nerves are already shredded. The build up is tense and the creepy moments really do make you jump in your seat. Far from being empty, the characters are largely rounded, although not all are sympathetic.

And how does Wrong Turn 2 do in comparison with the original? Well, damn great if I may say. Seeing as the original is very serious, eerie, and scary, the sequel tries to be quite the opposite - just a simple, hardcore, highly entertaining, no-brain, and brutal Splatter flick which doesn't take itself seriously, and luckily, it succeeds. It's very different from the first one, and quality-wise - I love them both equally as they're entirely different, but equally amazing. Also, don't let the fact that this is a direct-to-video film put you away, as it's definitely the best straight-to-video movie I've ever seen, and just proves that sometimes even a little, direct-to-video sequel can live up to its proceeder, and even stand on its own.
In short, Wrong Turn 2 is hands down the most entertaining and goriest Horror Sequel I've ever seen. It's not flawless or perfect, but I still love it, so if you really are looking for a worthy sequel with amazing acting, great direction, brutal and inventive deaths, likable characters, and lots more, Wrong Turn 2 is definitely then the right turn, and an amazing Horror flick you should surely check out! Highly recommended.
''A group of friends passing through are stalked and hunted down by a deformed killer with a chainsaw in order to sustain his poor family who can only afford to eat what they kill. ''
Driving through the backwoods of Texas, five youths pick up a traumatized hitchhiker, who shoots herself in their van. Shaken by the suicide, the group seeks help from the locals, but their situation becomes even more surreal when they knock on the door of a remote homestead. It's quickly apparent the residents are a family of inbred psychopaths, and the unlucky youths suddenly find themselves running for their lives. In hot pursuit is a disfigured, chainsaw-wielding cannibal known as Leatherface. Written by Love Hewitt
If You Love Gory, Scary Slasher Flicks...Then This Is For You
This Is One Hell Of A Horror Film!!! I have to say too that the acting was very good, though I wonder how hard it is to fake fear when you see some of the scenarios the actors were in, but even the background actors are very good and add an element of paranoid fear to the film. The thing that shocked me most was how brutal and graphic the film was, the gore being very realistic, and used very well. Instead of buckets of blood, we get moments of horror that end in a very bright splash of red. And like the first, the most brutal killings are shot in a way so that you see what is happening to the victim but yet DON'T see it at the same time. This is not a perfect film. It is too decadently dark and a lot of people will hate the film for that reason, and it will be hard to see this as being a movie you will want to watch over and over and over again.
''On one last road trip before they're sent to serve in Vietnam, two brothers and their girlfriends get into an accident that calls their local sheriff to the scene. Thus begins a terrifying experience where the teens are taken to a secluded house of horrors, where a young, would-be killer is being nurtured. ''
In August, 1939, a worker goes into labor while working in a slaughterhouse and dies after a complicated labor, though the deformed child survives. The possibly orphaned baby is dumped in a garbage container and found by a beggar later, who brings him home. Along the years, the mentally retarded and disturbed boy called Thomas is raised by the Hewitt family in spite of having psychological problems as well as suffering from an unnamed skin disorder, later working in a meat packing plant. In July, 1969, when the facility is closed, the inhabitants move to other places, but the deformed, mentally childlike Thomas flies into a rage after being insulted and kills the foreman. His deranged brother (considered his uncle due to their age difference) executes the sheriff that is going to arrest Thomas, and assumes his identity, wearing his clothes, driving his car though the roads in Texas and entitling himself as Sheriff Hoyt...

The movie is very good...if you're into this kind of thing. It's nice to see a franchise splatter film that is intense and gory without being cheesy. Many of the current crop of splatter films are played intentionally cheesy for humor. Which is fine, but they shouldn't ALL be like that. This movie has some humor in it, but it's a darker humor, and not meant to be cheesy or campy.
Everything that comes to mind when you hear the words "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is in this movie. No wussing-out in this one! Murder, torture, cannibalism, insanity and a touch of the surreal. Oh yeah, and a chainsaw. No punches are pulled, so this flick is not for the squeamish.
The acting in the film is very good there are some very intense performances and some graphic scenes. It's shot very 70's slasherseque which overall gives it a creepy aura. The storyline is very easy to follow yet very disturbing and depressing at the same time.
The Hills Have Eyes it Finally, an excellent horror movie
this movie i like and want to see agian and agian. the movie starts as a slow-boil suspense, horror movie, provides some decent jump-scare and spends some time building up character. The movie then switches gears and turns into a gritty, and further switches to gears to a action, revenge movie, but still with horror elements. It's scary, sick, nearly uncompromising (the unrated cut will undoubtedly be so) and disturbing, but also adrenaline-filled and riveting. Certainly NOT for the weak-stomached person. The special effects were good...lots of gore and violence. It's suspenseful, dark, and is guaranteed to leave you with a creepy feeling that won't let you go to sleep right after watching it.
While traveling in a trailer to California through the New Mexico Desert, a family is misled to a shortcut going to nowhere by the owner of an isolated gas station and wrecks the car in a rock. Along the night and on the next day, they are attacked by a group of deformed cannibals, fruit of the atmospheric nuclear tests conducted by USA from 1945 to 1962 in that spot. Absolutely trapped by the psychotics, they have to fight to survive.

“One of the most compelling, stunning, captivating films of the year based on the true story of Aron Ralston, brilliantly portrayed by James Franco. In a gripping, raw Oscar worthy performanc”.
127 Hours begins with Ralston (James Franco) preparing for a day of canyoneering in Canyonlands National Park in Utah, and driving to the trailhead at night. The next morning, he bikes through the park, aiming to cut 45 minutes off the guide book's estimate for the time needed to reach his destination. He is on foot, running along a bare rock formation when he sees two hikers, Kristi (Kate Mara) and Megan (Amber Tamblyn), apparently lost. Ralston convinces the pair that he's a trail guide, and offers to show them a much more interesting route than the one they had been trying to find. He leads them through narrow canyons, including a blind jump into an underground pool, where the three film themselves repeating the plunge using Ralston's video camera. As they part company, Kristi and Megan invite Ralston to a party they're holding the next night, though they doubt he will show. Ralston continues into Blue John Canyon, through a narrow passage where boulders are suspended, wedged between the walls of rock. As he descends, one boulder is jarred loose, falling after Ralston to the bottom of the canyon and pinning his arm against the canyon wall, and trapping him. He initially yells for help, but nobody is within earshot. As he resigns himself to the fact that he is on his own, he begins recording a video diary on his camera, and using his pocket multi-tool to attempt to chip away at the boulder. He also begins rationing his water and food. As he realizes his efforts to chip away at the boulder are futile, he begins to attempt to cut into his arm, but finds his knife too dull to break his skin. He then stabs his arm, but realizes he will not be able to cut through the bone. His video logs become more and more desperate, and he becomes delusional, dreaming about past experiences, including a former lover (Clémence Poésy), family (Lizzy Caplan, Treat Williams, and Kate Burton), and the two hikers he met before his accident. After reflecting on failed relationships with friends, his lover, and his family, he comes to the realization that everything he had done in his life has led him to this ordeal, and that he was always destined to die alone in the canyon. He finds himself out of water, and is forced to drink his own urine. Finally, after five days, he gathers the will to apply enough force to his forearm to break it, and severs the arm with his dull knife, fashioning a crude tourniquet out of rope and using a carabiner to tighten it. He wraps the stump of his arm and takes a picture of the severed portion he is leaving behind. He then makes his way out of the canyon, where he is forced to rappel down a 65-foot rock face and hike several miles, before finally running into a family on a day hike, exhausted and covered in blood. The family sends for help, and Ralston is evacuated by helicopter. The film ends with shots of the real Aron Ralston from his life after his ordeal, including several of Ralston's further adventures in climbing and mountaineering, which he continued following the accident, and of him with his wife, whom he met years later, and their child.
''127 Hours is not just a film – it is an experience. It is only in limited release now, but I can only hope that audiences everywhere will get the opportunity to see the movie. It is an amazing movie centred around an absolutely incredible, legendary performance. Watching Franco bare his soul on-screen is practically a cleansing experience. I went in with high hopes, and left with a huge smile on my face. It is authentically emotional, and in a year merely punctuated with a handful of amazing movies amongst a sea of filth, it more than just stands out. It is quite simply, unforgettable.'' by DonFishies
''I'm always amazed at what a incredible machine the human body is and what it can do when matched with a determined soul like Aron's. I can only imagine the level of mental will power this man has. What an amazing, inspiring, hypnotic story about pain and rebirth. I watched 127 hours this weekend as well and just have to add that although James Franco does an excellent job portraying Aron, nothing is as powerful as his own video clips. Thanks to whomever posted this.''

i think a good horror film. i watchedCase 39 last week make me feel scared. if you watch must be scares this words ''love mummy'',''i am sorry mummy'' .this word very nice but in movie very creepy as well. the story paces itself perfectly and draws you into its sphere of horror with a soft hand and kicks you out with a firm smack at the end. the only sad thing is a lack of replay value. i just wish i could go back and watch it for the first time all over again..

When I first saw Kick Ass i was expecting more action than comedy. However, I was wrong with how surprisingly funny the movie turned out to be. I thought Hit Girl was what made the movie shine as she was cussing and slaughtering people. This movie beats a lot of those stupid high school movies and chick flicks that are trying to be funny but fail. This is a great combination of bloody action and comedy. Its the Super Bad meets Kill Bill genre. I highly recommend this film.
