Buried

Buried

Buried

A man is caught in a desperate race against time in this claustrophobic thriller from director Rodrigo Cortes. Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is an American truck driver who has been contracted to work in Iraq, and while delivering a load of kitchen equipment as part of a humanitarian aid program, he's captured by insurgent guerrillas who intend to hold him hostage. Paul is struck unconscious, put into a coffin-like box, and buried, and when he comes to, all he has to help him get out is a lighter, a cell phone, a pen, and a jacknife. Trapped underground with a limited supply of air, Paul frantically calls his family, his employer, and American military and political representatives, trying to remain calm as his chances of survival slip farther away with each passing minute.

'Buried' is a great example of minimalistic filmmaking at it's best.'
'Half the terror being buried alive, half the terror being put on hold.'

''I was hesitant about this film, i mean how interesting can 1 man in a box be for 90 minutes?? VERY!! Not at all what i expected. twists and turns and very well filmed! Ryan at his best as always! watched it 3 times in 2 days i was gripped! and the last 20mins i was just on the edge of my seat! brilliant!''

Let Me In

John Ajvide Lindqvist's celebrated vampire novel makes the leap to the big screen once again with the second feature adaptation in so many years (Tomas Alfredson's critically acclaimed 2008 hit LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, being the first). The sensitive target of vicious bullying at school, 12-year-old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is a social misfit from a broken home. By day Owen dreams about laying waste to his classroom tormentors; by night his attentions turn to his reclusive neighbours in their austere apartment complex. One evening, as Owen takes out his pent-up aggressions on a tree, his new neighbour Abby (Chloe Grace Moretz – KICK-ASS) appears over his shoulder. A young girl wise beyond her years, Abby just moved in next door to Owen with her stoic caretaker (Richard Jenkins), who seems to harbour a sinister secret. Compelled by Abby's apparent imperviousness to the harsh winter elements, her frail disposition, and the fact that she's nowhere to be found before the sun falls, Owen senses a kindred soul, and strikes up a friendship with the girl, despite her repeated attempts to maintain an emotional distance. Simultaneously, their community grows vigilant following a series of vicious murders, and Abby's caretaker vanishes without a trace. Later, as Abby begins to grow vulnerable, her bond with Owen strengthens. By the time Owen begins to suspect that his evasive new friend is something other than human, it starts to seem as if Abby could use a good friend after all. Given that his bullies are growing more emboldened by the day, so too could Owen.

The Children

The Children

The Children

THE CHILDREN deftly combines the unsettling realism of low-budget 1970's British horror, with the visceral savagery and shocks of the glossy updated genre. Working with the tried and tested theme of 'mummy's darling turned evil hellspawn' that made VILLIAGE OF THE DAMED and THE OMEN such chilling classics, writer/director Tom Shankland's film exploits the modern SUPERNANNY generation, indulgently obsessed with child behaviour. The story takes place at Christmas time, with two middle-class families gathered together to share in the festivities. But the peace doesn't last, as slowly their children succumb to a strange illness and start to bring death and destruction to the people who gave them life.

THIS IS A FAR BETTER FILM THAN SOME PEOPLE GIVE IT CREDIT FOR. I WASN'T EXPECTING MUCH MORE THAN A WATCHABLE FILM WITH CREEPY KIDS,BUT IT'S REALLY VERY GOOD. WHAT STARTS AS 2 FAMILIES HAVING CHRISTMAS TOGETHER,ENJOYING THE SNOW AND EACH OTHER'S COMPANY,SOON BECOMES SOMETHING QUITE EERIE. YOU JUST KNOW SOMETHING IN THE KIDS IS ABOUT TO SHOW IT'S UGLY FACE,IT BUILDS TENSION LIKE A TICKING TIMEBOMB,YOU KNOW IT'S ABOUT TO BLOW AND WHEN IT BLOWS,OH BOY,DOES IT BLOW!
THE KIDS ARE PLAYED VERY WELL BY THE YOUNG ACTORS,BEHAVING VERY DISTURBINGLY. THE DEATHS ARE CERTAINLY WELL DONE AND HAD ME WINCING,SOME OF THE SCENES I WOULD SAY ARE VERY BRAVE,THE RETALIATION AGAINST THE KIDS WHO HAVE TURNED INTO VICIOUS LITTLE SODS THANKS TO A VIRUS OF SORTS IS,IN MY VIEW QUITE SHOCKING.
CERTAINLY IT IS NOT THE BEST HORROR FILM I'VE SEEN,BUT I'M VERY GLAD I BOUGHT IT AND PLAN ON WATCHING IT AGAIN VERY SOON.
SERIOUSLY,DON'T BE PUT OFF BY NAGATIVE REVIEWS,AS LONG AS YOU DON'T EXPECT AMAZING,I THINK YOU'LL BE SURPRISED HOW GOOD IT IS.
THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE CREEPIEST CHILDREN GONE BAD FILMS I'VE EVER SEEN.

If you see the children Will put you off kids for life ,little monsters, A rather unsettling horror , The children goes where no other film goes - having to kill your own children. i think this is what makes it interesting as no one in there right mind would want to do that. The parents never belive there is anything wrong with their kids which leads to some grisly deaths! the setting is really good - isolated in the country with nowhere to get way from them and they make good use of the surroundings.

ถ้าคุณได้ดูเรื่องนี้จะผวาเด็กไปเลย เด็กไรไม่รู้ฆ่าได้กระทั่งพ่อแม่ตัวเอง แถมโหดด้วย เด็กผี

The Descent

The Descent

A group of girls seek adventure on a caving expedition. Deep inside underground caves they find themselves cut off from the world and off the map. Battling to get back to the surface they realise that they are being hunted by an unknown cannibalistic force. Now they must pull together and fight for their very survival.

i think the descent Very creepy ,Some people seem to have missed the point of this film, complaining about the horror. It is a horror film but is done so well that when the gore finally arrives you're nerves are already shredded. The build up is tense and the creepy moments really do make you jump in your seat. Far from being empty, the characters are largely rounded, although not all are sympathetic.
